Welcome to the Masters Program 2008 - 2009

Swimmers, and Beginners of All Ages

With swimmers ranging in age from 19 to over 60, the Marlin Masters program has grown steadily over the past few years. With a fully qualified coaching staff and a wide selection of structured workouts, the Marlins provide options for all ages and abilities.

Practices are organized workouts tailored for all abilities with suggestions for stroke improvement. Our program provides strong motivation for reaching your personal goals . Each swimmer, from the beginner to the elite level athlete, will find something to suit their needs.

In addition, the Marlin Masters group has a number of social activities throughout the year such as monthly breakfasts at Angels, Annual GMAC Awards Banquet and Christmas Dinner. The group also organizes cross-training activities together such as running, biking, and strength training. Come out and enjoy the camaraderie and have fun.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE

All practices are at the Red or Gold Pool, University of Guelph Athletic Centre.

Mon, Tues*, Thurs, Fri, Sat 5:30 - 7:00 am; Mon - Fri 6:00 - 7:00 pm (evening practices start the week of Sept 15, 2008)**

*Tues 5:30 am practice is in the Red pool and will be a technical practice
**Schedule may change due to pool availability, holidays, and March break. The schedule will change in late April/early May.

SWIM SEASON AND REGISTRATION FEES

Annual MSO Fee Sept 1, 2008 - Aug 31, 2009  $   35.00
This is a one-time fee that is paid by the club to MSO, and must be paid by each swimmer in addition to the fees below
Annual Membership Sept 1, 2008 - Aug 31, 2009  $ 810.00 +MSO Fee * monthly payment option
Oct 1, 2008 - Aug 31, 2009  $ 753.00 +MSO Fee * paid in full
Nov 1, 2008 - Aug 31, 2009  $ 705.00 +MSO Fee * paid in full
Starting later in the year? You can join for $80 per month with a four month minimum. First payment of $320 + MSO fee then after 4 months continue with $80/month until the new season begins and you can startup a annual membership.
Short Term Swimming - Must pay $35.00 MSO fee

~ Initial payment includes two months (first and last) plus the MSO fee.

SWIM MEETS

Each season the Marlin Masters take part in sanctioned Masters Swim Meets across the region. These are optional, but are often extremely fun and rewarding events. As a group, we also compete at the Master Provincial Championships. Information about meets will be posted when it becomes available on the MSO web site.
